Sometimes our boys act like wild animals, but I promise we don't cage them often!

June-October 2009 Prayed and Prayed some more about adopting from Mexico

Oct 30, 2009- Made the final decision to go with Gladney as our Agency and paid the application fee

Dec 7, 2009- dropped off the last bit of paperwork and fee for homestudy with Global Adoption Services in MD

Dec 31, 2009- First Homestudy Interview

January 7, 2010- Psychological Evaluation

January 30, 2010- Homestudy Completed!

February 2, 2010- Mailed Homestudy to Gladney for approval

March 4, 2010- Received Non Gladney Homestudy approval letter

March 5, 2010- Conference call with Orphanage Director

March 6, 2010- Mailed I-800A!!!

March 10, 2010- Authentications and Apostilles Done!

March 11, 2010- Mailed copies of dossier for Translations

March 22, 2010- Received I800A notice of arrival

April 9, 2010- CIS Fingerprints

April 16, 2010- Received I-797 in mail and sent for translation

May 11, 2010- Translations finished!

May 13, 2010- Mailed dossier to Gladney

August- September 2010-Gladney received final denial of accreditation in Mexico. Found out Mexico would not permit us to adopt a sibling group.

August- September 2010- Spent LARGE amounts of time in prayer of where God was leading us.

Sept 28, 2010-Transferred to Gladney's COLOMBIA program!

October 11, 2010- Met with homestudy social worker to redo homestudy

October 14, 2010-Mailed FBI fingerprints

October 20, 2010- Met with Psychologist to redo Psychological report

October 22, 2010-Received FBI fingerprints in the mail! IN ONE WEEK- a miracle!

October 28,2010- Found out about a sibling group we can be matched with

November 9,2010- Homestudy Update Complete and mailed

November 11, 2010-I800A Supp 2 & 3 arrived at National Benefits Center (NBC) for processing

November 16, 2010- Got Apostilles!

November 17, 2010- Mailed Dossier to Gladney

November 29, 2010- I800A approval letter!

December 2010- Translations and Ministry of Foreign Affairs approval

January 6, 2011- Dossier submitted to ICBF (also our 15th wedding anniversary!)

January 20, 2011- ICBF Approval, dossier sent to Medellin ICBF office to await referral

Feb 22, 2011- Received official referral of the kids, but took 2 weeks to wait for doctor's reports

March 8, 2011- Accepted referral!

March 11, 2011- I800 mailed to USCIS

March 14, 2011- I800 received at USCIS

March 15,2011- Care package mailed to ICBF for chicos!

March 17, 2011-Received email from USCIS saying our I800 was being sent to NBC

March 21,2011- Received Notice of Action for I800-everything is "in process"!

April 6, 2011- I800 approval sent to NVC

April 11, 2011- NVC visas cabled to US Embassy in Bogota

April 13,2011- Article 5 issued!!! (expedited!)

April 15, 2011- Travel Approval

May 4,2011- Arrive in Medellin

May 6, 2011- United with our Chicos!!! Presentation Day!

May 13, 2011- Integration Meeting with ICBF

May 16, 2011- Documents submitted to Court in Medellin

May 19, 2011-Admission of Documents by the Judge in Court 7

May 24, 2011-Sentencia!!!

May 27, 2011-Fly to Bogota, Embassy Doc Appt in afternoon

May 31, 2011- Drop off Visa paperwork at Embassy

June 1, 2011- Pick up Visas!

June 2, 2011- Travel home to the US!!!
